Little Wombat

Little Wombat is a small family business started by lovely Alex, mum of two.

Because of her love of carrying her son, and feeling that he was not properly seated or supported in any carrier, she decided to do something different for her second baby. And since her daughter was very different from her son (super tender and plagued by colic), a carrier was needed that would fit perfectly from birth and that could be put on quickly.

I sewed Alex her first, simple jersey sling and she and her daughter quickly fell in love with this intimate feeling. After many mom friends also wanted a sling like this from her and the sleep breaks and night shifts were no longer enough to sew enough slings, she decided to found her own small label - Little Wombat.
